Title of his plenary lecture:
Multiple-criteria decision analysis for reliability assessment of CMCs
Bio:
Dr. Yutaka Kagawa is the Professor and Vice President of Tokyo University of Technology, the Director of Katayanagi Advanced Research Institute, the Director of the Center for Ceramic Matrix Composites (CCMC) at Tokyo University of Technology, and Chairman of CMC Consortium Japan Fine Ceramics Association (JFCA). He also holds emeritus professor of the University of Tokyo and Emeritus Fellow of National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS). His current research interests include design and performance of advanced ceramic fiber-ceramic matrix composites (CMCs), thermal/environmental barrier coatings (T/EBCs), and fracture of solid materials: emphasis is placed on understanding of mechanical behavior through experimental, theoretical, and numerical simulation approaches.
